We have recently witnessed a dramatic downturn within the mining industry world wide, however regardless of the current conditions being felt by others in the industry, there is a solid consultancy providing stable employment for more than 180 highly experienced staff in offices based in Australia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
With business development comes team expansion, and a new position now exists for a Principal Resource Geologist - Coal to join this client's ranks.
As the Principal Resource Geologist you will work within a small dynamic team and provide guidance and advise for mining to leading global mining companies and their world-class development projects. You will be supported by extensive training and be exposed to leading edge technology whilst working in an environment that encourages creativity and flexibility.
The successful applicant will require:
• Tertiary qualifications in Geology
• Considerable mine site experience with extensive experience within coal
• Expertise in coal resource estimation and geo-statistical methods
• Knowledge and experience in Vulcan
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Excellent time management and report writing skills
This is a Brisbane based position that offers a great mix of field and office based work. It is the ideal opportunity to achieve and maintain the much sort after work-life balance. You will also have the opportunity to travel and liaise with colleagues across the globe.
