Chief Rock Mechanics Engineer South Africa
Duties include but not limited to; designing cost effective underground support systems, providing trackless mining sections, optimising mining methods and extraction sequences, designing and laying out the mine, undertake numerical modelling of working areas, controlling the budget and supervising and training staff.
Salary R950k - R750k
Advantageous experience in massive mining rock engineering application including backfill.
Computer Packagesfully computer literate in modelling software, MAP3D etc.
Experience +5 years rock engineering
Qualifications Tertiary Mining qualification, COM Rock Engineering Certificate, an advanced certificate in Rock Engineering is an advantage
