Our client is an Australian Mining House with a commendable history in producing local and export thermal coal and power station supply. They are in preparation to ramp up their production across their multiple open cut operations and are seeking to employ a Registered Coal Surveyor.
Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible a broad range of survey work including:
Setout control calculations.
Conduct day to day surveys.
Production calculation for End of Month volumes.
Provide survey information to the Engineering and Geology departments as required.
Continuous improvement and development of quality surveying standards and procedures.
Ensuring the Surveying function is compliant with statutory requirements.
To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously offering a flexible attitude to working in a small technical team. You will have coal surveying experience with strong software and planning expertise. Tertiary qualifications in Surveying is essential and as is registration as a Coal Mine Surveyor (or the ability to gain registration).
