An established engineering consultancy based in Melbourne's inner suburbs is currently looking for an additional Senior Structural Engineer to assist them in the management and completion of existing and upcoming projects.
Reporting to the company's directors, you will be responsible for managing a range of residential, commercial, and institutional building projects from conception to completion. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
Concept and detailed structural design Liaising with clients, architects, multidisciplinary engineers and builders Site investigation and construction analysis Management and coordination of junior engineers and drafters Mentoring and developing junior staff This is a key role and as a result we are seeking senior structural engineers with specific experience and skill sets. Suitable candidates will have:
Completed their Bachelor of Engineering Circa 7+ years experience working within a consulting environment Extensive experience in the design or RC, steel, timber, pre-cast concrete and masonry Past experience working on medium scale commercial, residential and institutional projects Comprehensive knowledge of relevant BCA and standards Previous experience in the management of projects from conception to completion Extensive experience liaising with various project stakeholders Exceptional communication and presentation skills Excellent time management skills While not essential, being an Australian Chartered Engineer and/or Registered Building Practitioner would be an advantage.
