One of Australia's leading contractors in the mining and construction sector, with more than 6,000 employees, has a current requirement for a Mine Surveyor. This contractor operates world-class mines, with top class people with state of the art equipment and it is this successful formula that allows them to maintain their excellent market reputation. One of their large open cut coal mines currently has a requirement for a Mine Surveyor. This role represents an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that holds safety in the highest regard and is dedicated to continuous improvement methods and the development of their employees. As a member of the technical services team you will be responsible for delivering mine surveying services, contribute initiatives and professional input for the site
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will have considerable experience as a Surveyor in a mining environment. Experience with Surpac and Autocad software is also desirable.
This role will offer you a broad range of survey work including:
• Setout control calculations.
• Conduct day to day surveys.
• Production calculation for End of Month volumes.
• Provide survey information to the Engineering and Geology departments as required.
To be qualified for this role you will hold a surveying degree or recognized qualification.
