We are working with an exciting gold producer on an Underground Project Geologist position and require an experienced geologist who offers some solid underground exposure. The company is an exciting producer offering a highly experienced management team and plenty of scope for future career advancement. The Underground Project Geologist will assume direct responsibility for all development drilling activities, including the supervision of the drilling contractor. You will also be responsible for the following:
Management of drill program design, scheduling and implementation
Collection and interpretation of geological data
Production of resource wireframes and orebody interp
Supervision of geologists & underground geotechnicians
Monthly reconciliations of reserve estimates
The position provides the opportunity to further develop your resource skills while retaining a hands-on involvement in the daily, underground activities. You will work as part of a small, dedicated team and will benefit from extensive mentoring & training from more senior colleagues. This role will suit those with previous underground experience, in addition to the following:
Tertiary Qualification in Geology
Proven experience with underground production & resource drilling activities
Competent user of Vulcan or Surpac
Excellent communication and team-oriented skills
The position is offered on a 9:5 FIFO basis and will be a full-time position. The salary will be negotiated based on experience but will be in the vicinity of $110K - $135K + Super.
