Desktop Support Technician

Under the direction of the Supervisor - Information Management you will coordinate the delivery and maintenance of information systems for the BHP Billiton Diamonds operation. You will assist in operational Desktop Support tasks including the installation of new hardware and software, maintenance of equipment, and general resolution of help desk requests, as well as be responsible for analyzing and resolving complex business issues.

Tertiary education in Information Technology is required along with a minimum of 3 years practical experience as a technical specialist.

The EKATI Diamond Mine is located 300 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife and is accessible only by plane. The rotation for this position is 4 days on site followed by 3 days off. The incumbent is expected to reside in Yellowknife. Excellent salary and comprehensive benefits program are available to the right candidate.

This is a 1 year term position.
