Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.
Position Synopsis
We require a responsible individual, to be accountable for the development of daily, weekly and monthly plans and schedules. You will ensure that each task planned is adequately resourced so that it can be performed in a timely, safe and efficient manner. You will work towards the department becoming part of the standard maintenance process across Iron Ore with SAP an enabler to achieving operating excellence.
You will be expected to apply expertise to our computerised maintenance management system (SAP) in addition to ensuring that maintenance KPI’s are closely monitored and reported in a safe and efficient manner.
With an eye on maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices, and actively supporting the Environmental Management systems, your key duties will include:
* Collaborating with Inspectors/Supervisors in reviewing the plans generate to ensure plans are logical and realistic;
* Ensuring task lists are developed and maintained with up to date job instructions and safety requirements;
* Assisting in developing, analysing and reporting the yearly works financial plan including Actual V planned;
* Working closely with other departments and contractors to ensure on time scheduling of track Interface works;
* Preparing detailed work plans that include personnel, equipment and parts availability for the timely and successful execution of work orders;
* Training of maintenance personnel in GSAP usage, and other planning and scheduling packages;
* Managing off-site repairs of equipment; and
* Monitoring labour group materials expenditure against budget forecast.
Skills and Experience
You will ideally have substantial post-trade experience in a related industry. It is preferred that your demonstrated technical and professional skills be complemented with demonstrated competence with computer based planning systems, such as GSAP.
Credible and committed, you display effective communications skills, crucial to motivating team members, and presenting plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Location
This role is based in Port Hedland and is offered on a Fly In Fly out basis from Perth on a family friendly roster. A competitive remuneration package is offered commensurate with experience, and includes performance incentive and a generous superannuation scheme, as well as other benefits.
