Health Risk Management Superintendent - Mt Isa

• You will provide effective leadership and management for the Health Risk Management team and functions of the Safety and Health Department

• You will be responsible for providing information and advice to the Senior Management Team on all matters relating to health, medical, workers compensation interactions, injury management and safe for work systems.

• Responsible for liaising with treating medical specialists, the on site medical centre provider, external injury risk staff and relevant external stakeholders.

• You will also need to possess an understanding of associated injury management practices in the mining industry and the ability to work with all levels

• You will also possess a high level of business confidentiality, excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Relevant Queensland legislation, including Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health, Worker’s Compensation and Health will be essential to performing this role. Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role, a nursing background and current rehabilitation certificate would also be helpful. This is a live in position and relocation assistance may be granted to the successful applicant.
