Santos is an Australian based oil and gas exploration and production company pursuing an ambitious growth strategy. Currently embarking on a ground breaking project in Queensland, investing over $7.7 billion, we’re developing a world first LNG plant in Gladstone which will turn coal seam gas (CSG) into liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Working within Eastern Queensland Operations Support, the Project Coordinator will require a broad focus and good inter-personal skills to effectively manage various infrastructure projects and supporting services management plans. You are likely to be exposed to remote camp management, fleet management, waste management, road maintenance, well lease construction activities and various service categories required to support a gas production operation. The role is required to support existing operations but also expected to expand as expected GLNG upstream growth occurs.

This pivotal, strategic role also holds responsibility for process development and improvement initiatives, development and monitoring of budgets, process and data integration with other areas, and providing technical leadership in key projects and infrastructure development plans within the support services area. This new role is Brisbane based and has come about by rapidly expanding activities in Eastern Queensland.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Leading the EQ Operations Support planning and budgeting processes, including strategic planning sessions for the EQ Operations Support leadership team Developing and implementing service contracts to satisfy strategic sourcing and operational objectives Ensuring effective processes for identifying, prioritising and implementing capital projects (capex) within EQ Operations Support Providing technical leadership and become sponsor of key EQ Operations Support projects Use of project gating guidelines for project scoping, engineering signoff and implementation approval Writing project approval documentation for Joint Venture (JV) party approval Assisting EQ Operations Support personnel with EHSMS auditing and follow up activities Coordinating the development of an EQ Operations Support intranet site. The successful candidate will either be degree qualified with a Mechanical/Civil Engineering focus or trade qualified. You will have significant and extensive experience in the Oil and Gas support services sector with exposure to OPEX budgetary control alongside strong project management and communication skills
