A Senior Mining Engineer is required at a large open cut hard rock operation in Queensland. This position is responsible for the provision of high quality technical services to the operation ensuring safe & efficient mining practices. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

Ensuring short & medium term plans are in line with long term plans
Communicating plans effectively o production personnel
Contributing to development of budgets & cost models
Providing support & mentoring to technical team with regards to mine planning, design and reserve estimation
Contributing to continuous improvement projects across the site
This role requires a Mining Engineer that has solid experience within mine planning in open cut hard rock mines. Specifically the successful applicant requires:

Tertiary qualifications
Strong technical skills in mine planning
Proficiency with mine planning software (Vulcan is preferred)
Demonstrated sound written and verbal communication skills
Good report writing skills
