The principle duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure data as required by the mine clerks is delivered in a timely manner.

• Promote health and safety of section at all times

• Track and follow up any daily variance or deviations from the schedule

• Promote and facilitate training, career development, succession planning, and performance management.

• Facilitate effective communication and understanding of safety policies and practices

• Manage consumable usages within budget target levels.

• Lead direct reports by example to enhance behaviour and performance

• Ensure all relevant procedures and standards are adhered to.

The successful applicants must have the following qualifications/skills:

• Minimum ten years of combined practical underground experience including at least 5 years of jumbo operation.

• The desire to train the local workforce with ultimate succession in mind.

• Impeccable safety standards and lead safety by example.
