Civil Engineering Manager

Location: Brisbane, QLD 4000
Due to major project wins, our client is now looking for an Civil Engineering Manager to be based in Brisbane to lead a major infrastructure project.

As Engineering Manager your major accountabilities will be as follows:

Ensure design for constructability and manage and maintain budget specific KPI's for specific project based work
Manage the construction & design teams to ensure open communication and deal with any issues as they arise
Carry out recruitment, training (if necessary), performance review and OHSE compliance with all team members
Liaise with suppliers and third party resources as necessary and develop relevant supply chains

As this is a hands-on management position, engineers with a solid understanding of design for constructability would suit this role perfectly. Candidates must also possess the following:

A minimum of 5 years experience with engineering management along with an understanding of construction methodology
Degree qualifications in an appropriate engineering discipline
Excellent English communication skills with the ability to present to all organisational levels
Previous Australia experience with an understanding of local design/construction methods and standards
