Are you looking to move into a Mine Planning position? Do you have some solid underground production experience?

Our client has built an excellent reputation for providing staff with a range of career options and offers dedicated training for all employees. They have continued to develop their underground operations and recent promotions have resulted in an opportunity for a Mine Planning Engineer.

The Mine Planning Engineer will work on an attractive FIFO roster from Perth and reports to the Technical Services Manager. You will work as part of a cohesive team addressing the short, medium & some long-term planning needs of this complex underground deposit, in addition to various projects associated with future mine developments. Specific areas of responsibility will cover:

Development of mine plans
Assist with the completion of LOM schedules
Build & review cost models associated with mine expansions & special projects
Assist with studies on mine expansions and new surface operations
This position will require Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering and recent experience in an Underground Mining Engineer role. You will have a strong working knowledge of various software packages (Vulcan ideally) and will be able to assist the production engineering team as/when required. Some experience with mine planning will be expected, however, those looking to make the change into the Technical Services area are encouraged to apply. Exceptional communication skills and a willingness to take on new projects, both underground & surface, will be essential.
