As Australia's largest publicly listed power generator, this organisation boasts a diverse project portfolio of coal and gas fired power plants located across Australasia. To ensure the successful day to day operations of one of their largest assets, a 500MW+ open cycle gas turbine power station, they are seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician to join their team.
The main responsibilities of this role will be to effectively plan maintenance tasks to improve routine plant operations, reliability and performance. You will be required to develop work management procedures as well as assist in shutdown management including isolations and permit to work applications.
To be successful for shortlisting you will demonstrate the following experience:
Electrical trade certificates, and ideally an associate diploma or similar in engineering. Materials handling licenses (forklift, EWP etc) Previous experience in the power, gas or petroleum sector ideally focussing on high voltage switching Experience managing small scale projects and overseeing contractors Active promotion of a work safe culture and good understanding of OH&S legislation and standards
