We are currently working on two of the most innovative and advanced Naval Defence contracts in Australia– the Collins Class Submarine Through-Life Support Project and the Air Warfare Destroyer Program. We are now seeking to appoint a Trade Planner to join the AWD Planning and Scheduling Team.

Reporting to the Trade Planning System Supervisor the Trade Planner will be responsible for providing a resource to the Trade Planning group in IT system capability and business processes and work instructions applicable to Trade Planning. To be successful in this role you will need verifiable Trade/Engineering qualifications with exposure to areas such as costing, scheduling, estimating and project management or eligibility for chartered Engineering Technologist or Officer status. Experience in Planning or Scheduling in shipbuilding, heavy engineering or in structural fabrication, Mining, Oil and Gas, Defence, Manufacturing, or equivalent naval experience would also be important for this role. An understanding of Australian or International Quality Management systems/standards (ISO 9000x, AS 390x series) coupled with excellent, verbal communications and information technology skills are also essential for this role.
