This specialist construction and engineering contractor are one of the largest in Australia and specialise in providing technical services to some of
Australia's largest resource, infrastructure and commercial projects. They currently have billions of dollars worth of project work and can provide you with extensive career opportunities.
They need a Civil Estimator to join their project controls team working across various projects.
You will be required to:
* Prepare tenders to company and client procedures and requirements
* With support from management effectively negotiate project specific strategic subcontract and supply agreements
* Assist in preparing tender construction programs
* Assist with post tender negotiations
* Provide expertise in seeking out new projects for tender and negotiation
* Foster and build relationships with suppliers and clients
To be considered for this position it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:
* Tertiary civil engineering qualifications
* At least 5+ years civil estimating experience working in a construction contracting environment
* Proven experience in planning, budgeting and managing bid preparations
* Good working knowledge of drawings and specifications
* Proven contractual and commercial awareness in head contract and subcontract understanding and interpretations
