Salary:90,000.00 - 175,000.00 USD /year
Nationally-recognized, Rocky Mountain Consulting Firm is actively seeking a Principal Open Pit Mining Engineer to join its growing team in Denver, Colorado.
Qualified applicants will offer formal education in Mineral Economics or related field and a Masters Degree in Mining Engineering is preferred. Candidates need to have obtained a Professional Engineering Registration as well as offer 20 to 30 years of experience with direct open pit mine planning, scheduling, capital and operating cost estimation. Proficiency with the use of open pit design software, capital and operating cost estimation, mine evaluation, WORD, XCEL and other mine design software is also required for this position.
This position will be responsible for the following:
- Expand the open pit mining expertise of the company's mineral resource group.
- Provide marketing and business development in the precious and base metal mining arena.
- Coordinate with other Mineral Resource Division staff.
- Travel will be required with this position (25% of the time).

Required Skills:
