Think Purpose
The Engineer Control Systems in the Smelter and Refinery area is responsible for maintaining the control systems in the Smelter and Refinery as well as engineering and implementing all control improvements in this area. Automating the plant is the engineering solution to operate any plant safely, in a consistent and predictable way.
Your commitment to daily planning of section activities ensures the safe achievement of department KPI targets Activities, while coordination across shifts and other departments in order to create maximum value to Olympic Dam is critical for success in this position.

Think Requirements
To excel in this role you will have excellent hands-on experience with control system principles, programming and technology in particular SAP. Your computer skills are excellent, particularly in regard to hardware, network and the Microsoft suite of products.
A relevant qualification and solid experience with PLC/SCADA applications is desirable along with a practical background in mineral processing or similar heavy industry environment. With excellent communication skills and an ability to thrive under pressure, this challenging role offers a career path within this world class operation.
This is an Olympic Dam-based position on a 5/2/5/2/10/4 roster.
