Our Client is currently seeking a Principal Rock Geotechnical Engineer to support their growing Rock Engineering Team and work on a diverse range of challenging projects, such as open-pit mine stability assessments (pre-feasibility and feasibility level) in northern Canada, rock engineering on hydro-electric projects, rock slope and tunnelling inspection, assessment, design and construction / stabilisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both mining and civil engineering projects with a primary project focus on open pit stability, tunnel design, rock fall risk assessment, rock slope stabilisation and rock foundation design. Requirements: Degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Mining Engineering, 15 years or more of industry or consulting engineering experience. Must be registered, or eligible to register, as a professional engineer or geoscientist in the Province of British Columbia. Preferably, experience working in a consulting engineering environment at a senior project management level.
