Our client is a high profile diamond mining company with significant international operations. They are world-renowned for their production of diamonds and have an excellent reputation within the Australian market.

At present, our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Mine Supervisor to report directly to the Mine Manager. The Mine Supervisor will take responsibility for coordinating and supervising services and activities to support an efficient day-to-day mining operation.

Duties of the role include:
• Liaison with mining and geological personnel to ensure that planning goals are met and grade control procedures are followed
• Supervision of drilling, excavating, loading and haulage of waste and ore
• Supervision of all civil construction projects (roads, tails dams etc)
• Creation of weekly drilling & blasting, and digging schedules
• Co-ordination of de-watering strategy
• Maintenance of daily production records and statistics
• Workplace inspection for compliance with safe work practices and environmental standards
• Supervision of the contract in a manner that promotes positive employee and contractor relations

To be considered for this outstanding career opportunity, you will have a minimum of ten years mining experience. While formal qualifications are not essential, a Quarry Managers Certificate and First Aid qualifications are desirable.

To ensure your suitability, you will have excellent time management skills and a well-developed capacity to supervise and coach staff to their full potential. An outstanding knowledge of mining equipment, set-out and operation is essential.

Salary will be negotiable based on skills and experience.
