Teck Cominco Limited, is a diversified mining, smelting and refining group; a world leader in the production of metallurgical coal and zinc; and a major producer of copper and gold. The operation at Trail, BC is one of the world's largest and most efficient integrated zinc and lead smelters.
Due to our continued growth and success, we are looking for qualified individuals to fill positions on our maintenance teams in the trades listed below. Applicants must hold an Inter-Provincial Red Seal Endorsement. Preference will be given to those with related industrial maintenance experience and knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems. All applicants must have a valid driver's license.
Successful applicants will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment including graders, trucks, loaders and other heavy equipment. Duties include the ability to diagnose equipment problems, disassemble and reassemble.
Trail, situated in the West Kootenay region of southeastern BC, boasts a moderate climate, reasonably priced housing, and a regional population of 30,000.
