Trade qualifications and experience on heavy earthmoving machinery is essential, preferably on hard rock, open cut mining machines. Competence on Caterpillar 36 Series engines or similar is preferred, as is experience in welding, fault finding and field fitting of CAT 777, 785 and 793 Dump Trucks, and Liebherr 996 Excavators. All fitters will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance as directed on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving machinery and other ancillary mining equipment, and perform planned and breakdown repairs to ensure heavy mobile equipment availability.
All fitters must have previous exposure to Large Mining related Hydraulic Excavators, Trucks and Drills.
Mining position
As South Australia’s prominent open cut mining project, and as world demand for our resources continues to grow, increasing production levels have seen new opportunities created for the following specialties
Candidates who possess a minimum HR license, and qualifications and experience in equipment operation (i.e. Overhead Crane, Non-Slewing Crane, EWP, Forklift), and demonstrate solid working experience in mining will be highly regarded.
You must be able to pass all elements of the recruitment screening process, including medical, exhibit a positive work ethic, be willing to support an ongoing process of improvement, and be available to commence employment immediately. Those with extensive experience in the above areas will be rewarded with an excellent remuneration package, with some packages including flights, meals and accommodation.
