Teck Cominco American Incorporated is recruiting for Experienced Underground Miners to work at its Pend Oreille Mine located near Metaline Falls, Washington. The mine is a room-and-pillar zinc-lead operation producing 2200 tons per day of ore.
The successful candidates must be able to operate or repair Jumbo Drills, Mechanical Bolters, Scoop-trams, Mechanical Scalers, Explosive Trucks, and support vehicles.
Preference will be given to experienced production miners who are proficient at operating mechanized Jumbo Drills and Mechanized Bolters. The production miner’s bonus system is designed to reward employees who meet the required tonnage in a safe and environmentally efficient manner. The potential bonus is competitive throughout the industry. The shift is work seven days on and seven days off.
Candidates must demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with their co-workers and supervisors.
Teck Cominco American Incorporated is a drug-free work place. The successful candidate must pass a post-offer physical and drug test.
