Experienced Diesel Mechanic Alaska, USA
Coeur Alaska is recruiting an Experienced Diesel Mechanic for its Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Responsibilities/Skill Requirements:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems on Tamrock Jumbo Drills, Maclean Bolters, Loaders, 40 ton Haul Trucks, Explosives Loader, Getman Scissor Lift, Crane and Crane Truck.
Troubleshoot engine defects and identify needed repairs.
Able to perform over head maintenance on Cummins and Detroit engines.
Able to create a complete parts list with no supervision.
Demonstrate ability to lay-out and fabricate metal.
Able to demonstrate proficient use of air arc and gouging rod.
Able to take measurements and design and weld necessary products.
Boom, Mast, and Drill
Replacement / Repair, Adjustment of all components.
Drifter and Carriage, Slide, Feed assemble and carousel knowledge.
Experience: Journey-level experience working on modern mobile mining equipment. Candidates with current underground MSHA training preferred.
