About the Job master Diesel Mechanics. WV?s best compensation package in surface mining. Hourly wages up to $28.00 hour and a retention bonus. Subsidiaries of Massey Energy Company located in Boone County, WV are accepting resumes for Master Diesel Mechanics. Locations are within a one hour drive of Beckley or Charleston. Candidates should be capable of working with limited supervision and should be capable of providing leadership in completing maintenance projects. You should be able to evaluate, trouble shoot, develop parts list (with part numbers), and provide project supervision. * Experience performing maintenance work on large mobile diesel equipment: preferably Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, and Ingersoll Rand. * Possess the ability to trouble shoot and repair Power Train Components (Engine, Torque, Transmission, Differentials and Final Drives). * Possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical failures, hydraulic failures, fuel systems and cooling systems, and heating problems. * Be able to use a computer to down load maintenance related data to aid in troubleshooting. * Possess the ability to perform major repairs to the equipment. (Rebuild undercarriages, replace and repair hydraulic cylinders, replace and repair suspension cylinders, replace pins and bushings, repair and replace hydraulic pumps, pump drives and control valves.)
