KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Implement the Cementation training program, based on the Ontario Common Core Modules for Underground Hardrock Mining
Train in WHMIS, Fall Protection, Self Rescuer etc. and train all newly hired employees as required and perform refresher training on a yearly basis
Conduct a review of the Cementation Canada Inc. workforce to determine the workers’ training needs.
Conduct Job Observations on each worker based on the worker’s training requirements and sign the worker off on the appropriate training modules.
Register each worker who requires training, based on each worker’s requirements.
Provide training reports to head office.
Coordinate or facilitate the required training for workers in modules for which the Safety/Training Coordinator has not yet achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Common Core and Train the Trainer Certificate.
10-15 years of experience, preferably in the mining industry.
Minimum 5 years in Training.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Strong organizational skills.
Possess a strong understanding of confidentiality.
Able to work in a team environment, be self motivated and enthusiastic.
