Nationally-recognized, Rocky Mountain Engineering Consultant is actively seeking a Health and Safety Environmental Auditor to join its growing team in Denver, Colorado. Qualified applicants will offer a BS Degree in Public Health, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related environmental field and have 5+ years of experience in the environmental industry supporting auditing projects for environmental compliance.
Specific Industry Experience Required for These Positions:
- AIR FORCE: Candidates must offer strong experience producing Air Force Environmental Compliance Audit Reports. The key to this position is really understanding the chapter and verse of these regulations and know how to determine if the site is out of compliance.
- CHEMICAL/INDUSTRY/HAZARDOUS: Someone with strong RCRA experience conducting Hazardous Waste Audits will also be considered for this position. Candidates must offer strong chemical/industrial manufacturing auditing background - SIC codes, industrial permits and programs.
- MINING: Candidates with specific MSHA/mining environmental auditing experience will also be considered for this position.
Candidates that do not have experience within one of the above three areas will not be considered for this position. It is a huge plus to have experience in the above combined areas.
TRAVEL: This position will require travel to multiple sites across the United States. Travel will be 3-4 days per week and during peak seasons, travel can range up to 50-75% of the time.
Specific Certifications for this position are not required, but any OSHA, CDPHE, Environmental Health and Safety and MSHA Certifications are a plus.
Any EPA auditing and inspection experience is also considered a plus.
This position can interview and start immediately; local candidates preferred for this position.

CHEMICAL AND INDUSTRIAL RCRA AND HAZARDOUS WASTE COMPLIANCE EXPERTISE
MINING COMPLIANCE (MSHA) EXPERTISE
TRAVEL WEEKLY FOR THIS POSITION TO FACILITIES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
CDHPE CERTIFICATION IS CONSIDERED A PLUS
