Description and Desired Qualifications

CH2M HILL Mine Land Reclamation Experts Careers - Vancouver, Canada

The challenge? Helping save and protect the one and only Earth we have. Our Mine Land Reclamation Experts/Technologist jobs provide you with an opportunity to develop and maintain lasting business relationships with clients. Each day, you will be the face of CH2M HILL as you serve municipal and commercial clients as a project manager and technologist for a variety of projects and pursuits, primarily dealing with reclamation technical specialties, to ensure that CH2M HILL is the client's consultant-of-choice and that we have a thorough understanding of the team and project needs in order to formulate and implement a variety of multi-disciplinary solutions to meet project goals. You should be a project-focused problem solver with 10+ years of reclamation experience; preferably have a M.Sc. degree and professional registration; and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each senior environmental technologist job.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental or Civil Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology, Biology, or scientific discipline and a minimum of 10 years of previous environmental consulting or industry experience.
• Technical Background would include but not be limited to passive treatment technologies, solid understanding of soil science, vadose – zone hydrology, and plant ecology.
• Experienced candidates will have strong backgrounds in biology and regulatory compliance.
• Management background will include responsibility for project performance, scheduling & coordination of a multi-disciplinary team of specialist, client liaison, environmental strategic planning, assessment and mitigation, and overall management of projects.

Position consists of approximately 30% traveling and 70% office. CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa to fill this position.
