Our client is an Australian-based world class engineering, construction and maintenance company who provide a complete construction service in green and brown-field projects from engineering, procurement, fabrication, field erection, civil, mechanical, piping, and electrical installation works through to commissioning. Our client believes that people are the keystone to their success and will be the future leaders of the industry.
They are currently seeking a Project Manager at their Bogong site. Bogong is an attractive ski town on the edge of the Alpine National Park. It is set at the base Mt Beauty, the tallest mountain in North Eastern Victoria.
To be successful in this position you will need to have;
• A relevant tertiary qualification
• A minimum of 8 years engineering experience in the construction industry.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Competent in understanding and promoting HS&E imperatives and IMS procedures
• Competent in negotiation and client relationship building and a sound understanding of contract management and cost containment.
• Demonstrated flexibility and resilience and deploys sound problem solving methodology.
You will be responsible for;
• The delivery of a safe and environmentally sound project on time and within budget.
• The effective management, either directly or through direst reports of engineering, scheduling, costs, industrial relations, safety, environmental and quality.
• The maintenance of effective relations with the client and an appropriate profile of the client.
• Adherence to the clients Integrated Management System and Project Execution Plan.
• Compliance with the Safety and Environmental Responsibilities specific to Project Management.
