Our client is an Australian-based world class engineering, construction and maintenance company who provide a complete construction service in green and brown-field projects from engineering, procurement, fabrication, field erection, civil, mechanical, piping, and electrical installation works through to commissioning. Our client believes that people are the keystone to their success and will be the future leaders of the industry.
They are currently seeking a Project Engineer at their Bogong site. Bogong is an attractive ski town on the edge of the Alpine National Park. It is set at the base Mt Beauty, the tallest mountain in North Eastern Victoria.
To be successful in this position you will need to possess:
* Tertiary qualification in Construction / Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
* Specialist experience in project engineering and a working knowledge of project management.
* Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines.
* Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same.
* Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others.
Major responsibilities include:
* Ensure the effective Engineering, Planning, Quality, Survey, Cost Control and Scheduling functions for the project.
* Adherence to all requirements of the Project Execution Plan.
* Compliance with the Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

This project is for a water race tunnel for Hydro project with a duration of 12 to 18 months. After this, opportunities will exist to continue on in the tunnels division with jobs coming up in Singapore, Philippines, Papua New Guinea and Australia.
