RecruitR is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to take on a senior role at a challenging operation in North Queensland. With pits 400 metres deep this is an exciting and rewarding role.
The position is offered on an 8/6 roster from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns and excellent facilities are available whilst on site. Residential options are also available where you will work Monday to Friday and enjoy housing and utility subsidies. In this role you will be responsible for:
Analysing slope stability
Providing geotechnical input into mine planning functions
Designing and implementing geotechnical investigation programs
Liaising with consultants and contractors
Qualifications in Engineering Geology / Geotechnical Engineering and previous experience within a geotechnical role within a mining environment are essential requirements for applicants. You will also need to have the drive and initiative to take ownership of the geotechnical aspects of the operation. The ideal candidate will be a high achiever that is seeking a challenging role. Communication skills are also prerequisites as is excellent interpersonal skills.
