Our client, one of the world’s leading providers of engineering and construction services are currently seeking to employ a Senior Metallurgical Process Engineer to be involved with the ongoing ECPM activities for a variety of base and precious metal mining operations located in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The mining technology developed over the past 25 years will be heavily utilised at the commercial facilities, augmented by Western technology in the form of instrumentation, process controls and organisational structure.
Your key accountabilities will be:
Receive and distribute design instructions pertaining to plant design requirements and procedures.
Initiate the development of all required discipline deliverables for the assigned area.
Assists in the development of Project Process Engineering CTR’s for review with the Chief Engineer.
Identify deviations in job scope, estimates, and initiate PVN’s.
Reporting to the Principle Process Engineer the status of Process Engineering activities and Deliverables.
Ensure the communication flow, both verbal and written, is maintained within the Process Engineering group and with other engineering disciplines.
Represent Area/Unit Process Engineering in meetings with suppliers, subcontractors, licensors, clients, and other Company disciplines, and produces documentation required for conference or meeting notes.
Identify improvements within the Design Section and relay to the Principal Process Engineer.
Stand in for the Principal Process Engineer if required during periods of absence
To qualify for this position you will have:
A Bachelor Degree in Mineral Process Engineering, Higher Diploma or relevant qualification along with substantial 6 - 8 years design experience.
Experience in the preparation of Electronic Drawings, Scope of Work documents and final drawing checks as per the Clients design specifications (AutoCAD and Microstation).
Conducted Site Installation Surveys with Detailed Reporting.
Assisted in the coaching of Process Design Engineers.
Special requirement: The ability to speak Russian is highly desirable.
This role will be required for the 2 year lifespan of the project and is offered on a fly in fly out basis from point of hire with a 6 weeks on & 2 weeks off roster. On offer is an attractive remuneration package.
