Manage an established, professional group of Field Maintenance / Construction staff
Our client is a specialist heavy engineering contractor, focussing on project management for construction and/or maintenance projects and servicing the Construction, Mining and Process Industries with skilled trades personnel and first class equipment. They are a professional operation who provide fully engineered and evaluated engineering solutions (from planning through to execution)to the construction and mining industry. Planned shutdown maintenance and emergency breakdown services form the base workload.
Based in coastal Mackay, an opportunity for an experienced Field Services Manager has become available due to increased workload and numerous projects on the horizon. This role is responsible for daily productivity, job performance, quality, safety and co-ordination of resources both personnel and plant. Management of shutdowns and labour and equipment hire within multi-discipine industrial construction and maintenance projects including machinery recovery all form part of the role.
It is essential that you have the following attributes:
Engineering/Trade background
Familiar with construction industry
Supervisory experience
Contractual exposure
Knowldege of requirements of AS/NZS 9002:94 Quality Systems
Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety Act / Environmental Act
Structural steel fabrication
WHSO Stage 1&2
Excellent communication skills
