Don¿¿¿t miss this exciting opportunity to join this rapidly expanding organisation as a Civil Supervisor (Wharf Upgrades, Berth reconstruction & Seawalls). Reporting directly to the Project Engineer you will be responsible for on-site supervision of the wharf upgrades, berth reconstruction & seawalls as part of the Harbour Deepening Project.
In this role you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your civil/structural experience and your project supervision and management skills by:
? Providing civil/structural technical advice, especially the wharf upgrades and seawall.
? Facilitating construction compliance with designs, specifications and industry best practice
? Design interpretation, detailing, quality control, testing, acceptance and first inspection of completed facilities
? Assisting to organise and manage maintenance and supervising construction contracts relating to the civil components in accordance with Project Management principles to achieve time, cost and quality for the organisation and its clients
? Assist in management of the effective day-to-day operation of the Inner Harbour Deepening Project Section
? Coordinate contractors¿¿¿ activities with organisation¿¿¿s and customers operations
? Coordinate document control, material procurement, warehousing and testing to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
? Coordinate, prepare, implement and review Risk Management Plans and Job Safety Analysis preparation prior to work commencement.
? Participant in the provision of safety inductions for contractor¿¿¿s staff and monitor compliance as required by Safety Management Plan and all statutory requirements.
? Maintain Site Construction Diaries and records of construction works and provide ¿¿¿as constructed¿¿¿ information.
To be a successful candidate for this role you must posses:
? Trade qualifications in Civil, Building or Construction discipline or extensive relevant experience
? Project Supervision and Contract Administration skills
? Demonstrated coordination and supervisory skills with experience in managing in an industrial environment
? Experience in formulating maintenance/construction scopes of works, specifications, scheduling
? Experience in formulating, implementing and managing construction methods and budget estimates
? Knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations relating to construction and maintenance
? Sound knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Act/Regulations and demonstrated ability to implement and ensure a safe work environment
? Possess current ¿¿¿C¿¿¿ or ¿¿¿CA¿¿¿ class drivers licence
