Barrick is a leading international gold mining company, with a portfolio of 27 operating mines, seven advanced exploration and development projects located across five continents, and a large land position on the world’s best exploration belts.

Osborne Mines is a remote location, approximately 200 kilometres south-east of Mount Isa in North West Queensland. The Osborne copper/gold deposit incorporates underground and open cut mining, a mineral processing plant and supporting infrastructure. The Osborne project operates on a fly-in/fly-out basis from Townsville working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

Position Overview:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our Mine Operations team.

The PitRAM Operator reports to the Mining Team Leader and is responsible for:

• Providing information and support to the Mining Team Leader;

• Record operational data into the PitRAM system including bucket and truck counts, drill and blast data, machine and component hours, explosives management and stock levels etc.

• Lone worker management, off-site travel management

• First aid and emergency support.

• On-site contact for aircraft arrival and departure communications.

• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other members of the Mine Operations team in order to effectively carry out their tasks.

Requirements:

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:

• Computer literate (Windows, Excel, and databases);

• Accuracy and attention to detail;

• Ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of people;

• A professional attitude in all aspects of the role.

• Require minimal supervision and a high degree of self motivation.

• Must have a current Driver’s License
