Safety & Security Support Officer

We are pleased to announce an opportunity currently exists at Osborne Mines for an experienced Safety & Security Support Officer. The successful applicant will possess the motivation, team focus, safety approach, skills and experience to contribute to the success of our operation.

This role will arrive on site on Monday afternoon at 3.30pm and return to Townsville on Friday morning at 10.30am. Duty hours on site are 12 hours per day on Tuesday to Thursday however these may vary as required depending on activities that arise. An annualised salary will be paid. Full private health cover is included as part of the remuneration package. All meals, accommodation and flights are provided by Osborne.

A satisfactory police clearance and Osborne mines medical are mandatory for this role.

Reporting to the OHS Team Leader, your key focus in the role will be:

• Coordinating arrivals and departures from site ensuring questions are answered in accordance with company policy and procedure

• Controlling and monitoring site access for visitors

• Handling access, safety and security enquiries in a timely manner

• Conduct inductions and undertake vehicle safety inspections.

• Assist in maintaining the hardcopy health and induction files and updating computer systems in line with company policy and procedure

• Work with and monitor access and video surveillance programmes

• Assist with gold bullion security procedures

• Conduct random bag searches and assist with random alcohol testing regime on site

• Various administrative duties as required in a small team environment.
