The Position:This role makes a positive contribution to the business with the primary objective to coordinate exploration and resource definition work and recommend projects for acquisition or divestment. You will maintain exploration leases in good standing, manage lease tenure and relationships with other lease stakeholders. You and your team will progress exploration and resource projects to indicated resource status and maintain sufficient resources and reserve inventory for the Kanowna Belle processing facility. You will fulfill an important mentoring, coaching, and technical supervision role for the mine geologists at the three underground mining operations.
The Person: You will be a high caliber, self-starting, dedicated team player. As a minimum, you will possess a degree in Geology, Bachelor of Science or above, and have the ability to demonstrate appropriate experience in the listed responsibilities. You will have experience supervising technical professionals and have knowledge of exploration, resource development and mining methods to bring a strategic perspective to the role. Ability to communicate and interact with a wide range of industry personnel on exploration and mining activities is essential.
This position is based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in the heart of the Western Australia Goldfields. With a population of 35,000, Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a prosperous centre with modern amenities including first-class sporting facilities, excellent schools and good shopping.
