This position will report to the Electrical Foreman and must possess a BC electrical certification of trade or have an inter-provincial qualification. The successful applicant should meet the following criteria:
Minimum five years of industrial electrical experience.
Knowledge in the maintenance of electrical and process control equipment in ore processing control equipment in ore processing plants.
A strong background and understanding of distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controls (PLC) and microprocessors.
Experience working in open pit mining environment preferably on diesel electric trucks and large electric (solid state) rope shovels.
Familiarity working with high voltage distribution systems up to 25 KV.
Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
Prefer a candidate(s) with previous experience in a remote camp environment.
This position will work a two-week in and two-week out work schedule. Flights are provided from Smithers and Prince George.
