Mine Maintenance Foreman BC, Canada
This position will report to the Mine Maintenance General Foreman and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Mine Maintenance Foreman or equivalent related experience. The incumbent will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a mine maintenance crew. The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:
5 years experience in large open pit mining environments working with various models of Caterpillar equipment, Hitachi excavators, 260 ton diesel electric haulage trucks, P&H 2800XPB and P&H 2300XPB electric shovels and Hitachi EX5500 hydraulic shovel.
Strong computerized maintenance planning skills preferably with Maximo planning systems.
Good communications skills both oral and written.
Proven ability to meet production and safety goals.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills along with the ability to work under pressure and in a unionized environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and the ability to work well with all departments.
Computer proficient.
The successful applicant will work a two week in and two week out rotation and flights will be provided from Prince George and Smithers.
