Materials Handling Engineer - Infrastructure

Due to phenomenal growth our client are currently seeking experienced Materials Handling Engineers to work with the Infrastructure business unit of our Brisbane based office, servicing clients in the Mining, Industrial and Public Infrastructure markets.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead design teams for local and overseas based projects throughout all phases of development - from concept to detail
Lead/participate in site based project activities - from initial site visits to installation and commissioning
Design, specification, commissioning and operating of large drive systems, overland conveyors and conveyor design software, large mobile machines including stackers, reclaimers and shiploaders, crushing & screening equipment, port facilities and logistics
Project responsibility for safe design, quality, time and costs - using established company systems and procedures
Active involvement in global community of practice and technical forums
Participate in the evaluation of new technology and equipment
Maintain existing client base and develop new contacts
Mentor junior engineers
Qualifications & Experience

Extensive Bulk Materials Handling experience coal/iron ore/nickel/bauxite experience - both in a design office and on site
Experience in all stages of engineering - from concept studies to detailed design, installation and commissioning
Presentation skills
Understanding and appreciation of safety and quality aspects of design
Conveyor software experience - statics and dynamic
Professional Engineer and CPEng registration preferred
