Location: Queensland Perform design, specification, costing, and implementation of electrical and instrumentation projects up to total value $70 million. Projects will include the likes of installing new 3.3kV and 415V switchgear, MCCs and feeders, or designing and commissioning DCS and PLC control schemes for mine crushing equipment, oxygen and carbon monoxide analysers, and feed conveyors. Additionally, you will get to broaden your technical skills through involvement with process control, motor control, VVVF drives, soft starters and power distribution systems, which is only going to open career doors for you in the future. The company looks highly upon engineers who have gained their chartered status, and has a strong program in place, encouraging their employees to obtain this qualification. They also subsidise course materials and provide study leave for people wanting to get their Masters. For this role, you need a bachelor of electrical engineering, and about four years post-graduate experience, which must have been obtained in mining or minerals processing.
