Project Engineer

Our client, one of Queensland's oldest and largest privately-owned companies, with five offices and a workforce of some 1800 people across the State, is seeking to appoint a motivated Project Engineer to be based in Gladstone.

This is a permanent position that reports directly to the Area Manager - Civil. Project staff will be required to report to this position.

The main purpose of the role:

* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with Company Safety Policy
* Ensure project works are carried out in accordance with the Contract Documents
* Ensure all reports are produced in a timely and accurate manner
* Set and monitor production targets
* Co-ordination with testing authorities
* Manage safety, environmental and quality requirements

Skills and experience required to be successful in this position:

* Relevant qualifications
* Proven record of successfully completing projects
* Understanding of relativity of safe operating environments and peak production
* Extensive experience in civil works (desirable)
* Experience in HR/IR matters (desirable)
* Ability to develop client relationships (desirable)
