Our Client is a growth-oriented Canadian-based gold mining and exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of gold properties in Central Asia, the former Soviet Union and other emerging markets. Their objective is to build shareholder value and to establish Centerra as a senior gold producer by maximizing the potential of our current properties and leveraging our financial strength and experience to acquire new long-life, low-cost projects. They maintain 100% interests in two gold producing mines, Kumtor mine in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Boroo mine in Mongolia.

Reporting to the Mill Manager, you will be responsible for leading and directing the fixed plant maintenance function with the objective to improve, maintain and sustain optimum ore processing and gold recovery.

The Kumtor Mill operates at a nominal 16,000 tpd capacity and consists of crushing, grinding, flotation, cyanide leaching and gold recovery in two separate carbon-in-leach (“CIL”) circuits with final gold recovery accomplished by electro winning and refining.

Our client is seeking:

*
a broadly experienced mechanical professional with rounded exposure to the minerals processing industry.
*
ideally with more than 15 years experience, particularly in grinding and sulfide flotation techniques is preferred.
*
a proven track record in technical project evaluation, management and control are also key attributes.

You will have:

*
Demonstrated previous success in a similar role.
*
A tertiary qualification is mandatory.
*
Prior experience in a Former Soviet Union country, or developing countries, would be advantageous.
*
A familiarity and working knowledge of Six Sigma principles will be of benefit.
*
An important component of the job function is an active involvement in the training and development programs for National staff. Further, you will be expected to promote the Company Behavioral Based Safety program and contribute to Continuous Improvement Process Programs.

This is a resident position, located in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic though the incumbent will work and live at the mine site during the work week. An attractive resident expatriate remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
