Senior Mine Engineer

Our client seeks the services of a Senior Mining Engineer to provide mine design, scheduling documentation and advice for the safe mining of the resource while ensuring its integration into the prescribed mine plan. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your responsibilities will include:

*
Monitor daily operational issues to assist in the development and completion of schedules to achieve forecasted targets,
*
Develop and review design concepts to ensure safe, achievable mining practices,
*
Review and improve current processes to expand the mined resource,
*
Take a leading role in risk assessment and safety management plan development,
*
Plan and coordinate the design and management of capital projects and mining studies,
*
Scope and develop mining contracts and monitor the work of contractors involved in mining operations.

To be successful in this role you require:

*
Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering accompanied with considerable exposure to underground mining in both production and planning areas.
*
A NSW Production Managers Certificate or the necessary qualifications and experience to obtain would also be well regarded.
*
Ability to work in a team environment and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*
Computer literacy is essential. Experience in Vulcan and EPS would be highly regarded.
