Heap Leach Metallurgist

Our Client listed on the London Stock Exchange Alternative market (AIM) is now seeking to employ an Operations Metallurgist experienced in Heap Leaching for their recently constructed new heap leach facility located in N.W Africa. The plant is expected to process a high-grade (4 gm/tonne) heap leach producing 100,000 ounces of gold per annum and should be profitable by the third quarter of this year. Although the mine is in a remote location it is an ideal situation for a heap leach gold operation as there is ample space for additional leach pads with water available from an aquifer 40km distant.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following functions:

* Responsible for the implementation of Best Practice methods to maximize the Heap Leach performance.
* Sensitivity to the National culture and the ability to foster ongoing training and development of their National employees is essential in this expatriate role.

To be considered for this role you will have:

* A Degree in Metallurgy (Mineral Processing) from a recognized learning institute, with at least 5 years Heap Leach experience.
* Some experience in process metallurgy and metallurgical test work.
* French Language skills are preferable.

This role is offered on a fly in fly out basis with 6 weeks on & 3 weeks off roster or 8/4 depending on your point of hire. On offer is an attractive remuneration package.
