Our client, a results focused engineering consultancy providing engineering, procurement and construction management services to the resources industry, is looking for exceptional Brisbane-based Senior Electrical Engineers to join their dynamic team.
This role is responsible for all aspects of design and electrical engineering services on a flagship study.
We are looking for degree qualified Electrical Engineers with more than 10 years proven design experience in a mining, materials handling or resources environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to impart your knowledge and experience to others are essential competencies for this role. Eligibility for membership to the ‘Institution of Engineers Australia as a Chartered Engineer would be highly regarded.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge in the following:
* Successfully performed the role of Senior Electrical Engineer at least one other major project.
* Five to seven years bulk handling experience in the mining and minerals processing industry with particular emphasis on the electrical design, procurement, construction and commissioning of conveyor systems, chutes, hoppers and bins, stockyards, transfer and sample stations, and crushing and screening plants.
* Detailed knowledge of Electrical Engineering Standards and the application of these standards into design criteria in a bulk materials handling environment.
* Highly developed skills in planning and contributing to multi discipline projects.
* Strong technical skills in relation to electrical engineering activities in a project environment.
* Personal commitment to and a high level of awareness of factors affecting health and safety in mining and construction activities, including an awareness of statutory requirements to iron ore, coal and aluminium sector activities.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels. High level of negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to achieve a successful team culture based on mutual respect and on consistent individual performances.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with the Client, Contractors, and a demonstrated expertise as a leader who drives performance, leads the team and develops and mentors others.
* Well developed computer literacy skills especially with regard to spreadsheet and planning software.
Our client is offering permanent staff positions or long term contracts, above market rates / salaries and a structured bonus. These are Brisbane based roles.
