Senior Mining Engineer

* Perth based technical role, with some international travel required
* Negotiable Salary ranged from $170k to $200k

Our client is looking for a Senior Mining Engineer to join their Technical Team in their Perth office. Reporting to the Group Mining Engineering your principal duties will include but are not limited to:

* Planning of Open Pit development projects;
* Technical support to the operating mines;
* Technical support to the Technical Services Group;
* Capital projects review and analysis; and
* Project Improvement.

Education and Skills required:

* Degree qualified Mining Engineer;
* Membership of The AUSIMM would be well regarded;
* Minimum of 15 years experience in the mining industry with at least 7 years in mine planning positions;
* Extensive experience in open pit mine planning;
* Good communication and presentation skills both oral and written;
* Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision;
* Previous experience at working in Africa would be well regarded; and
* Relevant computer skills in word processing, spread sheeting and mine planning.

This position is based in Perth, although regular trips to mine sites within Australia and Africa will be required. A competitive salary in the region of $170 - $200 K is on offer to the successful candidate.
