Senior Short Term Planning Engineer

With operations in Australia and PNG our client is rapidly becoming one of Australlia’s largest producers of precious metals. They currently require the services of a Senior Short Term Planning Engineer for their PNG operation; a site consisting of 3 large open cuts and containing a resource estimated at 40M ounces of gold.

As the Senior Short Term Planning Engineer you will be responsible for the supervision of a team of mining engineers focused on providing short term plans for the day to day operations of the pit and assigned projects.

This role is offered on an excellent FIFO roster from your POH. Salary on offer for this position is in the vicinity of AUD170K with other benefits including super, medical, insurances part of the package.

To be considered for the role you will require:

* A degree in mining engineering or a related discipline
* 5 to 10 years experience in open cut mininig environment
* Exposure to a range of mining softwares and 2 years experience in a similar planning role
* An understanding of CP requirements for JORC reporting
