Our client, an international minerals exploration and development company has a vacancy for a Project Manager. Home based and travelling to the project sites as required, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all projects underway are operating on target, within budget and are problem free.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

* Develop and monitor project schedule baselines and budgets;
* Manage estimating, cost control, construction start up, design, procurement planning, evaluating, directing, tracking, analysing and coordinating multiple projects;
* Responsible for the coordination of all project activities including logistics, community and exploration;
* Prepare project reports and presentations for project status meetings and updates;
* Achieve critical tasks as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer;
* Responsible for managing all project expenses and allocated funds.

To be considered for this position you should have:

* Solid experience in the execution of gold and copper resource projects, including greenfield development;
* Extensive knowledge and experience in project development and management, including administration, financial and logistics experience;
* Experience dealing with landowners and government;
* Must have construction knowledge and experience with mine greenfield development;
* Degree in a relevant discipline;
* Risk Management – ensuring Health, Safety and Environment system issues are appropriately addressed;
* Communication – facilitation of planning sessions and liaison with local stakeholders and government representatives as required;
* Knowledge of Pidgin language desired but not essential.
